This the only COMPREHENSIVE COURSE of its kind in Canada, covering ALL core topics in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
Participate in-person or virtually in 14 LIVE sessions. Attendees will also have access to an additional 16 pre-recorded online presentations to view at their leisure via google drive. Attendees will have access to all 30 presentations for 4 months following the course. Presentations are case-based to highlight practice variations and the most current literature in PEM.
Overall Learning Objectives:
- Review current literature and guidelines on core topics in pediatric emergency medicine utilizing a case-based approach, presenting material at the level of a PEM fellow/adult emergency medicine consultant.
- Recognize variations in practice patterns given various clinical environments.
- Review strategies to improve bedside ultrasound skills for acute care problems in children.
- Critically appraise pediatric emergency medicine literature.
This course will present material at the level of a PEM fellow/adult emergency medicine consultant and is useful for trainees and consultants who manage acute care problems in children.
